Prelios SGR arranges a green loan for the development of the Tupini Lake Building in Rome

Rome, September 28, 2022Prelios SGR has arranged a 50 million euro green loan with Intesa Sanpaolo to fund the redevelopment of the Tupini Lake Building in Rome, at Viale Tupini 180, one of the most characteristic office buildings in the EUR district.

The purpose of the loan, arranged by Prelios SGR as manager of the “Aurora” real estate alternative investment fund – whose sole shareholder is a leading pension fund – is to fund the redevelopment of the Tupini Lake Building. The building is the central element of a redevelopment project inspired by the highest levels of efficiency, sustainability and usability, which will make it possible to obtain LEED Gold, BREEAM Good, WELL Silver, WIREDSCORE Silver certifications.

Overlooking the EUR lake, the Tupini Lake Building is a ten-floor edifice offering unique panoramic views, and has an overall gross surface area of 48,000 square meters. The restoration project for the building is intended as a benchmark for the entire EUR district, to spearhead an extensive redevelopment of the area implementing outstanding solutions geared to sustainability.

Over the course of the last year, Prelios SGR has arranged and renegotiated financing agreements with Italian and international banks for an overall amount of more than 1 billion euro.
