Prelios Group men and women back the Ospedale di Fiera in Milan and the Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome

The employees of the Prelios Group at the side of the people fighting the Covid-19 emergency.

Starting on Thursday April 2, the men and women in the Group may devolve up to three days of work to leading hospitals engaged in the fight against one of the gravest crises the world has ever faced.

"These are extremely difficult days for the whole world and for Italy in particular, a time when no one can surrender hope and generosity,” say Group Chair Fabrizio Palenzona and CEO Riccardo Serrini in a letter sent to all Prelios employees. “Each one of us must support the people who today are on the front line in responding to this very serious emergency. We have to take the part of all the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and everyone performing even the most menial tasks to help the sick and the elderly. Men and women who have been working round the clock for weeks, putting their own lives at risk in an effort to save as many lives as possible."

The sums raised will be donated, in Milan, to the new facilities of the Policlinico in Fiera (Fondazione di Comunità Milano), which are starting up operations over the next few day; and in Rome to the "Lazzaro Spallanzani” National Institute for Infectious Diseases, a hospital at the forefront of research and treatment.

On completion of the fund-raising initiative, the Prelios Group has undertaken to match the donation of its employees with a significant amount.

In recent weeks, Prelios has already made a donation to the Fatebenefratelli Sacco hospital in Milan, a healthcare unit on the front line in fighting the Coronavirus.
