Debut at the Bocconi University for the “Economics of Sustainable Urban Regeneration” course

SUR Lab's partners are Hines Italy, Prelios Group, Intesa Sanpaolo and Milanosesto

“Economics of Sustainable Urban Regeneration”, the first course developed by SUR Lab (Sustainable Urban Regeneration Lab) with the support of four partners – Hines, Intesa Sanpaolo and MilanoSesto in addition to Prelios – is making its debut at Italy's Bocconi University. Conducted entirely in English, the course, offered by the Social and Political Sciences Department, will explore sustainable urban regeneration processes by considering the dimensions involved (economic, financial, social, environmental and policy). This allows the planning and assessment of urban regeneration processes and projects taking account of the different perspectives of local authorities, developers, real estate players, investors and key stakeholders. The course in “Economics of Sustainable Urban Regeneration” will give students the ability to contribute to sustainable urban regeneration processes for a variety of private and public operators, who will also be involved through project work and case histories. During the second semester, students will investigate the experiences shared by the SUR Lab partners: Hines Italy, Prelios Group, Intesa Sanpaolo and Milanosesto. Directed by Edoardo Croci, the Bocconi University's SUR Lab is headed by a Steering Committee, whose members are Bruno Giuseppe Busacca, Bocconi University Dean for Development and Alumni Engagement, Riccardo Serrini, Prelios Group CEO, Mario Abbadessa, Hines Italy Senior Managing Director & Country Head, Mauro Micillo, Chief of IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division at Intesa Sanpaolo, Giuseppe Bonomi, CEO of Milanosesto S.p.A.
