Help for the vulnerable: donations to the Milan Municipality's Mutual Benefit Fund and to #MilanoAiuta of Fondazione di Comunità Milano

A total of 620 working days and 5,000 hours of work for a donation of more than 130,000 euro of pay, to be used for initiatives to support the fight against the Covid-19 virus and help people badly hit by the emergency.

This is the result of the subscription set up by the employees of the Prelios Group, a total of 560 people at the headquarters in Milan and the offices in Rome, which, as Chairman Fabrizio Palenzona and CEO Riccardo Serrini previously announced, has been supplemented by the company to raise the overall amount of the donation to 180,000 euro

In March, Prelios had already donated an additional 50,000 euro to the Fatebenefratelli Sacco hospital in Milan, so that the overall commitment by the Group in response to the Coronavirus emergency now stands at 230,000 euro.

"The men and women of the Prelios Group have shown they have a big heart,” said Fabrizio Palenzona. "At the moment we are all working from home. For weeks no one has ever let their commitment to their job slip, and the generosity and responsibility demonstrated in the response to the subscription is a great display of the spirit with which we should all approach the imminent new phase. With gratitude to the people on the front line in the fight against Covid-19, first and foremost all the health workers, but not forgetting the more vulnerable members of society hit by both the health and the financial emergencies.”

The donation proceeds have already been transferred to leading hospitals and research centers such as the Policlinico in Milano, the Fatebenefratelli Sacco Hospital in Milan and the Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome, which are responding tirelessly to Covid-19 with treatment, emergency medicine and research.

To contribute to the home care services for elderly people living alone, people just out of hospital and families in difficulty, the Prelios Group has also provided funding for two very important initiatives in the Milan area: the Municipality's Mutual Benefit Fund and the #MilanoAiuta fund-raising campaign launched by Fondazione di Comunità Milano.
