London, Legance Italian Real Estate Conference. Serrini: asset management tools bringing the credit world and real estate into contact are essential

"At this market stage, it is increasingly important to have asset management tools linking the credit world with the real estate world.” Prelios CEO Riccardo Serrini was speaking at the Italian Real Estate Conference organized in London by the Legance Avvocati Associati legal firm on November 19, in the prestigious setting of the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall.

After an opening address from the Italian ambassador to the United Kingdom, Raffaele Trombetta, the conference consisted of three seminars, attended by the leading names in the Italian Real Estate sector.

"Prelios manages both direct and indirect property risk,” said Serrini during the seminar entitled Italian Real Estate Funds: structuring and governance, moderated by Andrea Giannelli from Legance and Pamela Barbaglia from Thomson Reuters. "This is fundamental: only then can we deliver performance to investors,” observed the Prelios Group CEO. "Whether they invest in credit or directly in real estate, investors can count on Prelios’ integrated platform, unique of its kind since internally it implements all possible asset management levers, to support every phase in the property life cycle. On the loan market alone, Prelios manages more than 97 million square meters of real estate collateral. Only by enhancing this collateral is it possible to provide good performance for loan portfolios, and we have all the necessary expertise to do this."

The other seminar panelists included Giovanni Maria Benucci from Fabrica Immobiliare SGR, Ivano Ilardo from BNP Paribas SGR, Giuseppe Oriani from Savills Investments Management, Giampiero Schiavo from Castello SGR, Paolo Scordino from DeA Capital Real Estate SGR and Michele Stella from Torre SGR.
