Yesterday, 02 April 2014, Prelios SGR disclosed to the market the launch of the PAI – Parchi Agroalimentari Italiani – fund, the operating tool for the development and promotion of F.I.CO. (Fabbrica Italiana Contadina) – Eataly World, the international thematic park of Italian food excellence that will be created on the edge of the town of Bologna.
The fund, with a duration of 40 years and an initial value of about € 100 million, is dedicated to the investment in land and real estate assets to be used for projects aimed at the promotion of Italian wine and food excellence; particularly the F.I.CO. project involves farms and wineries, centers of production and processing of food products, research centers, sale and services. The park will be developed, infact, on a 80,000 sq m area dedicated to the widespreading of Italian food and wines culture through the reconstruction of its main production pipelines, and it will open the doors to the public by the end of 2015, coinciding with the EXPO closing, in order to create an ideal bridge for its expected public counting over 6 million tourists every year.
