The asset in Via Paolo di Dono 42, in Rome, owned by Anastasia Fund, managed by Prelios SGR, and headquarters of the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), received last days the LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum level.
Issued by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED certification measures the sustainability and efficiency of existing buildings, with reference to their management and maintenance, and any requalification project, based on five main pillars: site sustainability, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor air quality and many other under-estimated requirements on a scientific basis. The "Platinum" is the highest level assigned and IFAD is the first United Nations Organization to have received it. The certification testifies the IFAD efforts aimed at reducing the consumption of energy, water and paper, encouraging employees to use public transportation or carpool, and adopt sustainable practices in their daily work, as well as special attention towards the well-being of its people: from the gym to the canteen with organic and vegan foods, through the bright and outdoor areas separated by other 'closed' offices but only with transparent walls so that natural light can penetrate everywhere. Thanks to this recognition, the performance of the asset and the management activity of its tenant and owner become a point of reference in Italy for the adoption of the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental compatibility, and represent a concrete proof of the route that started in the Italy development and building industry towards energy and environment sustainability.
