At RE Italy, FIABCI Award for the Rinascente remodeling project in Rome's Piazza Fiume. The iconic building is owned by the Megas Fund managed by Prelios SGR, whose shareholder is the Enasarco Foundation. The remodeling project was named as winner in the Retail category during the 17th RE Italy convention on June 22 at Borsa Italiana and will be one of the Italian projects to take part in the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards in Miami in June 2023. The award was received by Prelios Group CEO Riccardo Serrini, who was accompanied on to the stage at Palazzo Mezzanotte by Susan Greenfield, world President of FIABCI, The International Real Estate Federation, and Maurizio Cannone, Editor of Monitor Immobiliare, which organizes the RE Italy Convention Days.
The total refurbishment of Rinascente Rome in Piazza Fiume involves work on the facades and the interiors of the historic building designed 60 years ago by architects Franca Helg and Franco Albini. The remodeling will introduce distinctive architectural elements such as an external elevator, a food hall with a panoramic view and a garden area, and highlight the magisterial spiral staircase designed by Albini and Helg. Within the Prelios Group, the Prelios Integra business unit – the leading Italian player in Property Management in terms of surface area under management – has been given the Project Management mandate for the remodeling of the entire store in Piazza Fiume, as well as coordination of all security questions.
