The Board of Directors’ Meeting of Prelios SGR S.p.A., chaired by Mario Anolli, took place in Bologna on the premises of FICO Eataly World. The meeting of Board of Prelios SGR at the location of the world’s largest agri-food park is the first of many events on the agenda, culminating in the official inauguration on 15 November in the presence of the Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni and other dignitaries
The location in Bologna is a clear demonstration of the importance of the FICO - Fabbrica Italiana Contadina project for the Prelios Group and the role of Prelios SGR as the manager of the PAI-Parchi Agroalimentari Italiani Fund set up in 2014 and the vehicle of the project.
“FICO Eataly World was created not only with the help of promoters – headed by CAAB – but also bringing together a group of investors and resources which, thanks to the real estate fund, were channelled towards a non-conventional investment sector” – commented Andrea Cornetti, General Manager of Prelios SGR.
“Investors understood the full potential of the Project, which will have a positive impact also on numerous sectors of the real economy. About 4,000 jobs will be created, including over 3,000 jobs in related supply-chain activities”.
Covering 100,000 square meters dedicated to the superb Italian production chain networks, FICO is not only the world’s largest agri-food park, but also a showcase for the numerous Italian manufacturing and production masterpieces. “FICO was set up as a reference point for the dissemination, using a scientific approach, of information about nutrition and the Italian agricultural and food sector” - declared Andrea Cornetti. “Through the reconstruction of leading production chains, the Park aims to be a permanent showcase for Italian quality”.
