Prelios Immobilien Management GmbH, the Prelios Group’s German company specialized in strategic and operational management of commercial and retail properties and portfolios, is at Expo Real, the international real estate tradeshow regarded as the largest B2B event in Europe, being held in Munich from the 8th until October 10, 2018.
With more than 2,040 exhibitors from over 35 countries, Expo Real 2018 looks set to beat the record numbers reported in 2017, when the tradefair achieved significant growth compared with previous years. Expo Real is an extremely important showcase for Prelios Immobilien Management, one of the leading players in Germany, with more than 2.2 billion Euros of assets under management for space totaling approximately 1 million square meters.
Prelios Immobilien Management reported 12% growth for the first six months of 2018 from the year-earlier period. "We continue our growth course and are particularly proud to have enlarged our business activities this year with new clients: this is recognition of the quality of our team’s performance,” said Martin Mörl, managing director of Prelios Immobilien Management. “In 2018, we have been awarded several mandates for prime assets in Hamburg and other German cities, and have successfully implemented several shopping center transactions, like the Galerie Neustädter Tor in Giessen and the Schlossbergcenter in Marburg. We are also in advanced negotiations for new mandates in southern and western Germany.”
The Prelios Immobilien Management portfolio includes a number of prestigious success stories such as the LAGO Shopping Center in Konstanz – 27,500 square meters with more than 70 shops on two floors and parking for almost 1,000 cars – which this year, for the third year running, won the German Brand Award in the "Trade, Retail and e-Commerce" category. In 2018, the LAGO Shopping Center was ranked once again in a top position in the Shopping Center Performance Report, having previously been classified as number one in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017.
“Our activities in this sector start by enhancing and developing the shopping center’s existing resources and position, with a view to creating important opportunities, not only for the centers themselves, but also for the towns and cities where they are located,” explained Martin Mörl. "We are working on important redevelopment programs for a number of German shopping centers. There is a significant increase in repositioning projects, in general driven by the market changes from e-commerce. The key factors are customer expectations, which have risen hugely in terms of the range of the offer, service and information quality, the overall shopping experience.”
Prelios Immobilien Management is currently implementing a modernization project for the Galerie Neustädter Tor shopping center in Giessen, Hesse, north of Frankfurt, and has presented the concept and plans for the redevelopment and expansion of the location, on a surface area of 32,200 square meters and more than 1,000 parking spaces. The Prelios Group company is also handling the development project for the new shopping center in Husum, a northern German town in Schleswig-Holstein, completion of which is scheduled for 2019, with a rental area of 12,000 square meters, of which two-thirds have already been leased.
Prelios Immobilien Management GmbH (Prelios Group) is at Expo Real (Munich, October 8-10, 2018) in Hall B1, Stand 443.
