Milan, 12 March 2018 – Prelios Agency acted as an advisor for the Fondo Immobilium 2001, the alternative closed-ended real estate fund for the public (retail), managed by Investire SGR S.p.A. for the lease of a property on via Grosio in Milan.
The building – called Arcadia – is a detached property that covers an area of 20,000 m2. The building will be completely renovated, and the intention is for the building to receive the LEED Silver Certification. Once it has been completely renovated, the building will house the new headquarters of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH and Volkswagen Bank GmbH.
“Once again we are proud of having successfully completed such a complex operation,” said Mauro Fiori, Head of Institutional Leasing at Prelios Agency. “With this operation, Prelios Agency continues to reinforce its real estate advisory activity for national and international clients, seizing and making the most of the very best real estate opportunities that arise”.
Rosario Grimaldi, Head of Listed & Opportunistic Funds and Marica Pieralisi, Fund Manager, added that: “This is an example of how urban regeneration processes are well within reach, provided that the quality and efficiency of projects are the focal point. We believe that the VW headquarters’ installation strategy is in line with the northeast area of Milan, that today is being considered the city’s automotive district”.
